It was caused by the rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 (RHDV2). It rapidly spread worldwide causing outbreaks in domestic rabbits and commercial farms. This review provides an overview of current knowledge about the disease and the virus. En 2010, una nueva variante de la enfermedad hemorrágica del conejo (EHC) emergió en Francia, causada por el virus de la enfermedad hemorragica del conejo tipo 2 (VEHC tipo 2) y rápidamente se extendió por todo el mundo, causando brotes en conejos domésticos y en granjas comerciales.
